I haven’t really said anything about it but I’ve been on an indefinite break from New World. My company and server were both off to rocky starts due to instability in the game, and as the bugs they had not completely fixed continued to be abused, it made things more difficult. Recently, its gotten to the point where the game is more broken than it was in the last alpha test. Combat, economy, interface; all are decidedly worse than they were in March.
I’ve been spending my non work time playing Frontlines in Final Fantasy XIV. For those not in the know, Frontlines is the large scale PvP battle mode. It pits 3 teams of 24 against each other to complete various objectives; including of course, killing each other. It gets pretty hectic, and lately I’ve been trying to give it a go as a healer. This is my preferred way of earning the Irregular Tomestones for the Moogle Treasure Trove event, since dungeons will put me to sleep if I run them repeatedly.
I streamed my last session to my Facebook page, YouTube channel, and Twitch channel. It was a pretty fun time, I was able to nail down two 1st place wins and a few more 2nd placements. The best moment though, was my frist time breaking the 1 million HP mark in healing output during a single match. I’ve never done it before and it was a huge rush.

This Wednesday I’ll be playing and streaming FFXIV PvP until the the servers go down for maintenance on Thursday to prepare for early access to Endwalker.
If you want to watch, support, or PvP with me for the last time in Shadowbringers, come find Southern Flame on Diabolos-Crystal DC.
