This weekend I got my new gaming laptop, and I got my invite to the New World confidential Alpha Test. The test is under NDA so I can’t share screenshots or details, but I’m excited to participate, and I am enjoying my time in Aeternum so far.

The computer itself is outstanding. I was able to turn Final Fantasy XIV and New World to maximum settings and the machine kept both games running at super high FPS. FFXIV runs at about 140 fps, even with reshader running.
Switching to FFXIV pc version also affords me the opportunity to run ACT. And yes we all know that parsing is against ToS, but we also know that Yoshi P and the devs don’t care as long as you are not using it to harass or bully other players. It gives me and Kiera an opportunity to see what we’re doing and make adjustments to improve, which is the whole point of a parser.
It’s been a good week. I’ve been working and staying up late playing video games, almost like I did 17 years ago when I played Final Fantasy XI.

And that’s always a welcome feeling.
